It is composed of :
- Gas chamber
- Airway(nozzle)
- Non electric inflation.
After one inflates the air cushion, the air chamber maintains a certain air pressure that forms a soft pad which increases the contact area between the patient's body and the pad and also reduces the local body pressure.
It is used for postoperative or patients who sit down for long periods so as to prevent and reduce pressure sores.
